What is Dimple Surgery?

Dimple creation surgery, often known as dimpleplasty, is a treatment that is used to create dimples on the face. Dimples are the slight depressions in some people's cheeks when they smile. Dimples are genetic characteristics caused by indentations in the dermis layer beneath the skin.

The treatment is performed under local anesthesia. The procedure includes the creation of a dimple in the dermis between the muscles, as well as the removal of a tiny amount of tissue. Sutures within the mouth disintegrate on their own. The dimples are immediately noticeable, but the ultimate effects are usually visible two months later. Depending on demand, dimples can be surgically generated on one or both cheeks.
