Laser Facial

Laser resurfacing is a treatment to reduce facial wrinkles and skin irregularities, such as blemishes or acne scars. The technique directs short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at irregular skin, precisely removing skin layer by layer. Laser resurfacing of the skin may be an effective long-lasting wrinkle treatment. Laser sessions normally last from few minutes to one hour, depending on the size and location of the area to be treated. After a laser skin tightening treatment, patients are able to return immediately to work or other regular activities. Laser treatment is one of the most advanced method for removing unwanted pigmentation on the skin such as age spots, sun spots, and freckles. Skin Pigmentation Removal with laser [Q-Switch]is a quick, gentle and non-invasive treatment When carefully done,It does not affect the surrounding tissues or remove the normal skin colour. Lasers are very effective because of their controlled accuracy and strength in targeting deep layers below the skin’s surface. It’s like getting rid of your imperfections from the inside out, and they produce more of predictable results as compared to chemical peels or microdermabrasion. There are various laser machines with different names, but there two types of laser facials, ablative and non-ablative.

The non-ablative laser [Erbium glass or Fraxel ] does not injure the skin’s surface to the level of the ablative laser. It targets the imperfections and brings them up to the surface to lessen or remove them. Depending on your skin, you may need up to six treatments a month apart. Because these lasers bring the imperfections up to the surface, it can take time to see the full results that you want. The advantage is that it is an outpatient procedure, there is little to no downtime and no pain following the procedure. Ablative laser treatments actually vapourize the damaged skin with an intense wavelength of light that reaches the skin’s epidermis. There are two types of ablative lasers, carbon dioxide (CO2) and Erbium (or YAG) lasers. Ablative lasers are one of the most effective ways to improve your skin; however, they do not take away deep wrinkles or sagging skin. These have to be carefully used in darker skin types. It is important to consult with your doctor about what skin treatment will work best for you.We at Image Medical centre do all types of laser treatments.
